WILPF Monthly Meeting

Former Santa Cruz City Mayor, Jane Weed-Pomerantz, will share her experiences from the 57th United Nations’ Commission on the Status of Women from her recent trip as a delegate from local WILPF chapter. The debriefing will highlight the work of NGO’s successes toward social and economic justice including their work on the legal, civic, educational, medical and economic fronts. Learn the importance of identifying women’s rights as universal rights. With the collaboration of Nia Shima-Franklin, UCSC student, UN Practicum delegate and peer educator for SAFE, there will be an opportunity for discussion.

Jane Weed-Pomerantz is a Positive Discipline Lead Trainer, and a Local to Global WILPF delegate.

This event is free. Donations will be accepted.
